Edward Nowak (born 21 February 1940) is a Polishprelate of theRoman Catholic Church. He served asAssessor of theEquestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem andCanon ofSt. Peter's Basilica.[1]
Nowak was born inNowy Żmigród, andordained to thepriesthood on 6 January 1963 for thediocese ofPrzemyśl. In 1990, he was appointedSecretary of theCongregation for the Causes of Saints and was ordainedTitular Archbishop ofLuni. He received hisepiscopal consecration on 5 April 1990 fromPope John Paul II, with ArchbishopsGiovanni Battista Re andJustin Francis Rigali serving asco-consecrators. On 5 May 2007 Pope Benedict XVI named him as Assessor of theEquestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem in theRoman Curia.
