In 2017, Edge FM 102.5 (then branded as 102.5 The Edge) came under the ownership ofACE Radio as its parent company North East Broadcasters was acquired by ACE.[2][3]

Formerly known asClassic Rock 102.5, in 2013 the station dropped itsclassic rock format, rebranding asFM102.5 and switching to pop musicEasy Listening.
On 1 September 2015, the station rebranded as 102.5 The Edge, in line withWangaratta sister station 102.1 The Edge (nowEdge FM 102.1).
