Eddie Gabriel Hernández Padilla (Latin American Spanish:[ˈeðjeɾˈnandes]; born 27 February 1991) is a Honduran professionalfootballer who plays as aforward forLiga Nacional clubMunicipal and theHonduras national team.
A tall striker, Hernández started his career atPlatense and joined SwedishAllsvenskan sideBK Häcken on loan for the 2012 season,[1] but in June 2012El Cañonero del Aguán joined Motagua for the 2012 Apertura season.[2]
On 9 March 2018,Irtysh Pavlodar announced the signing of Hernández.[3] On 13 June 2018, Irtysh Pavlodar announced that Hernández had left the club by mutual consent.[4]
On 13 September 2023, it was announced by the IndianI-League clubMohammedan Sporting that they have signed Hernández on a season-long deal.[5]
Hernández made his debut forHonduras in a May 2011friendly match againstEl Salvador. He represented his country at the2012 Summer Olympics and was a non-playing squad member at the2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup.[6][7]
