Ecthyma (/ɛkˈθaɪmə/) is a variation ofimpetigo, presenting at a deeper level of tissue.[1]
It is usually associated withgroup A (beta-hemolytic)Streptococcus (abbreviated GAS).[2] This variation has similar features to those of impetigo.
