Ebru Özkan (born 18 November 1978) is a Turkish actress.
Ebru Özkan was born on 18 November 1978 inAnkara. She completed her primary school education in Ankara and secondary and high school education inNevşehir. She settled inIstanbul after her high school education. She started her university education as a scholarship student atBilkent University, then continued atAnkara University'sSchool of Language and History – Geography and graduated from there.[1] She started her theatre education at primary school level and first wrote a play calledMilli Piyango. While continuing her university education, she started acting in the TV seriesGözyaşı Çetesi and fantasy child series "Kara İnci" alongsideYetkin Dikinciler for twice. She also had a number of modeling jobs.
Özkan rose to prominence with her role as Halide inHanımın Çiftliği based on the classic novel.[2] She continued her television career with the youth seriesNot Defteri, where she played the character of Suna. She played withHaluk Bilginer in seriesHayatımın Rolü adaptation of "Mrs. Doubtfire".[3]
She played the character of Dilara in the seriesParamparça, which was broadcast between 2014 and 2017 and lasted for 3 seasons.
In 2018, she played the character of Melek in the TV seriesŞahin Tepesi adaptation of "Falcon Crest". Later, she had the role of İpek Tekin inHekimoğlu, the Turkish adaptation of theHouse, M.D. series.[4] In 2021, she was awarded the best actress award by the Radio and Television Journalists Association for her role as İpek Tekin. The award was presented by PresidentRecep Tayyip Erdoğan.[5] She then shared the lead role withErdal Beşikçioğlu in the TV seriesHakim, which is an adaptation ofYour Honor.
Together withTimuçin Esen, with whom she shared the leading role in theHekimoğlu series, she appeared in theDisney+ seriesBen Gri. In 2023, she portrayed a mystical character named Çavgeş in theNetflix original seriesŞahmaran.
She marriedErtan Saban in 2016 and they had a daughter named Biricik Saban in 2018.[6]
