Earle Toussaint Audet (May 14, 1921 – December 18, 2002) was an Americanfootballoffensive tackle in theNational Football League (NFL) for theWashington Redskins, as well as theLos Angeles Dons of theAll-America Football Conference (AAFC). He playedcollege football at theUniversity of Southern California, where he joinedTheta Chi fraternity, and wasdrafted in the third round of the1944 NFL draft.

As an actor, he played minor roles inTahiti Honey (1943),Black Bart (1948) andAll American (1953).[1]

His wife DeDe, a graduate of Venice High School and longtime community activist and volunteer, served on Venice Town Council in the 1960s and 1970s, as President of Venice Neighborhood Council after Earl's death before retiring in 2017 to move to Culver City.[2]

Audet was also an accomplishedshot putter, winning the1943 and1944 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in that event.[3]

Audet was a member of theMarines duringWorld War II.[4]
