EV Zug is a professional men'sice hockey team fromZug,Switzerland. It is a member of theNational League and plays its home games at theBossard Arena.
EV Zug won its first championship in the 1997–98 season, and the second one in the 2020-21 season.
On October 3, 2011, the club defeated theNew York Rangers of theNHL by the score of 8-4 in an exhibition game.[1][2] Former NHLerJosh Holden, who at the time was suspended from the NLA, was permitted to play and scored twice. He andFabian Schnyder each had three points andEsa Pirnes also had two goals. Former Ranger goaltenderJussi Markkanen had the win in net in front of a sellout crowd atBossard Arena.

EV Zug Women is a semi-professional women's ice hockey team that competes, as of the 2023-2024 season, in the SWHL-B: the second division of theSwitzerland women's ice hockey league.[4][5]
