Transcription factor COE1 is aprotein that in humans is encoded by theEBF1gene. EBF1 stands forEarly B-Cell Factor 1.[5][6][7]

EBF1 controls the expression of key proteins required for B cell differentiation, signal transduction and function.[8][9] The crucial role of this factor is shown in the regulation of expression of SLAM family co-receptors in B-cells.[10] In addition, EBF1 is also noted for its role inchondrogenic differentiation in limb budmesenchymalprogenitor cells.[11]

Interactions

[edit]

EBF1 has been shown tointeract withZNF423[12] andCREB binding protein.[13]
