Dylan Dykes (born 14 March 1996) is a Scottishfootballer who plays forWest of Scotland League Premier Division teamCumnock Juniors.
Dykes played youth football withRangers, signing a contract until the summer of 2016.[2] He was released upon the expiration of his contract in May that year.[3]
Dykes then signed for fellowScottish Premiership sideRoss County on 22 July 2016.[1][4] He made his professional debut in aHighland derby againstInverness CT on 28 April 2017.[5]
Having had limited first team opportunities at Ross County, Dykes joinedLeague One clubStranraer in January 2018 on a development loan for the rest of the 2017–18 season.[6]
Dykes left Ross County in January 2019 and signed forGreenock Morton.[7] Dykes joinedStenhousemuir on loan before joiningCumbernauld Colts in February 2020.[8]
Dykes agreed a move toWest of Scotland teamSt Cadoc's in May 2020[9] before moving toPollok two years later.[10] He made his debut at home toHurlford United in March, and scored his first goal from the penalty spot againstTroon F.C. in a 2-1 win in April.[11]
In October 2022, Pollok announced that Dykes had undergone treatment following a cancer diagnosis, triggering a wave of support from his former clubs and the wider footballing world.[12][13][14]
