American actor and professional wrestlerDwayne Johnson, also known by hisring name The Rock, is one of the highest-paid and highest-grossing actors of all time.[1] His films have grossed over$3.5 billion in North America and over$12.5 billion worldwide.[2]

Johnson had his first acting role inThe Mummy Returns (2001) and reprised his role from that film for his first leading role in the spin-offThe Scorpion King (2002). He has since starred in numerous other successful films, includingThe Rundown (2003),Walking Tall (2004),Doom (2005),Southland Tales (2007),The Game Plan (2007),Get Smart (2008),Race to Witch Mountain (2009),Tooth Fairy (2010),You Again (2010),Journey 2: The Mysterious Island (2012),G.I. Joe: Retaliation (2013),Pain & Gain (2013),Hercules (2014),San Andreas (2015),Central Intelligence (2016),Moana (2016),Rampage (2018),Skyscraper (2018), andJungle Cruise (2021).

Johnson's most commercially successful role is asLuke Hobbs in theFast & Furious franchise; he first appeared as the character inFast Five (2011) and is credited with breathing new life into the franchise, catapulting it into one of the highest-grossing movie franchises in history.[3] He starred in the sequelsFast & Furious 6 (2013),Furious 7 (2015), andThe Fate of the Furious (2017), as well as his own spin-off filmHobbs & Shaw (2019) and a cameo inFast X (2023).[4] Another notable franchise starring Johnson isJumanji, with the filmsJumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017) andJumanji: The Next Level (2019). He also provided the voice ofMaui in theDisney animated filmsMoana (2016) andMoana 2 (2024), as well as portraying Maui in the upcominglive-actionMoana (2026).

Johnson has also ventured into television, starring in theHBO seriesBallers (2015–2019), which ended its first season as HBO's most-watched comedy in six years.[5]

The filmography does not include his professional wrestling appearances in any form of media.
