Dunbar Island is part of the West Point Island Group of theFalkland Islands. It is nearWest Falkland, to its north, inByron Sound.[1] It is east ofCarcass Island andLow Island and to the west ofSaunders Island. It is south ofSedge Island and north of theByron Heights andStorm Mountain.
The island's land area is 2.25 square kilometres (0.87 sq mi).[2]
