Dušan Uhrin (born 5 February 1943) is a Czech and Slovakfootballcoach and former player. He was the coach ofSlovan Bratislava. Born in theNitra District in the Slovak part ofCzechoslovakia, he has lived inPrague since the age of 16.
He coached theCzech Republic national team for a total of 48 matches between 1994 and 1997, including at the1996 UEFA European Championship, where the Czech Republic were runners up.[1] He also coachedKuwait between 1999 and 2002. At club level Uhrin coached Czech clubsSparta Prague,FC Hradec Králové,Rudá Hvězda Cheb,Bohemians andTeplice, as well asAl-Nassr (Saudi Arabia),AIK (Sweden),AEL Limassol andAPOEL FC (Cyprus),Maccabi Haifa FC (Israel).
