Dušan Drašković (born 20 June 1939) is a Montenegrin formerfootball manager and player. He is considered one of the pioneers of modernfootball in Ecuador.[1][2][3]
During his playing career, Drašković played forSpartak Subotica,Vojvodina,Radnički Niš andVrbas.[4] He represented Yugoslavia at the1971 Mediterranean Games, winning the gold medal.[5]
In his early managerial career, Drašković served as manager ofVrbas (twice),[6]Vojvodina andSpartak Subotica, before leaving his homeland in 1988. Drašković managed Ecuador at theCopa América tournament in1989,1991 and1993.[7][8][9] At club level, Drašković was manager of a number of club sides in Brazil (Bragantino),[10] Colombia (Atlético Junior),[11] Ecuador (Barcelona SC,Macará andEmelec), and Guatemala (Comunicaciones).[12]
Drašković has also managedFK Vojvodina andFK Borac Banja Luka[13] in formerSFR Yugoslavia.
