Charles Douglas Winslow (born July 19, 1951) is an American former professionalfootball player who was awide receiver in theNational Football League (NFL) for theNew Orleans Saints andWashington Redskins. He playedcollege football for theDrake Bulldogs and was selected in the eighth round of the1973 NFL draft.
Winslow was born inDes Moines, Iowa. He attended and playedhigh school football atSoutheast Polk High School inPleasant Hill, Iowa, where he was awarded 1st Team All-State honors in 1969.[1]
Winslow attended and playedcollege football atDrake University, where he had earned a footballscholarship. He was named a two-time All-Missouri Valley Conference player and a senior co-captain.[2]
Winslow was selected in the eighth round of the1973 NFL draft by theNew Orleans Saints. After playing with the Saints in 1973, he joined theHouston Texans/Shreveport Steamer of theWorld Football League in the inaugural 1974 season.[3] The league folded midway through its second season, in 1975. Winslows then played forWashington Redskins in 1976.
