Douglas Robert Halward (born November 1, 1955) is aCanadian former professionalice hockeydefenceman who played 663 games in theNational Hockey League (NHL) for theBoston Bruins,Los Angeles Kings,Vancouver Canucks,Detroit Red Wings andEdmonton Oilers. He helped the Bruins reach the1977 Stanley Cup Finals and the Canucks reach the1982 Stanley Cup Finals.
Halward was born inToronto,Ontario. He playedjunior hockey for thePeterborough Petes. As a youth, he played in the 1968Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with the Toronto Young Nationalsminor ice hockey team.[1]
