
Dorsum Nicol is awrinkle ridge on theMoon at18°00′N23°00′E / 18.0°N 23.0°E /18.0; 23.0 inMare Serenitatis near the border ofMare Tranquilitatis. It is 44 km long and was named after Scottish physicistWilliam Nicol in 1976.[1]
To the south of Dorsum Nicol are the Rimae Plinius andPlinius crater, and to the southeast is the small craterBrackett. To the north and perpendicular to Dorsum Nicol are theDorsa Lister.
