American wind quintet

Dorian Wind Quintet is an Americanwind quintet. Formed atTanglewood Music Festival,Tennessee, in 1961, their repertoire includes Baroque pieces to contemporary pieces. They have released recordings onSummit,New World, andCRI Records. Members have includedCatherine Ransom Karoly and Jerry Kirkbride.

They have commissioned works by composers includingGeorge Perle'sWind Quintet IV, 1986Pulitzer Prize for Music winner. In 1981 they were the first wind quintet to appear inCarnegie Hall.

The ensemble's members areflutistGretchen Pusch,oboistGerard Reuter,clarinetistBenjamin Fingland,bassoonist Adrian Morejon andFrench hornistKarl Kramer-Johansen.[1]
