Dora, also known asDora: Say Hola to Adventure!, is achildren'sanimated television series created by Chris Gifford and Valerie Walsh Valdes for thestreaming serviceParamount+ that premiered on April 12, 2024.[6] It is areboot of the animated seriesDora the Explorer (2000–2019), and the fourth series overall in theDora the Explorer franchise.
Twelve days after its premiere, Paramount+ renewed the show for a second season,[7] which premiered on September 13, 2024.[8] The show made itslinear television premiere onNickelodeon on August 5, 2024.[9] The third season was released on July 2, 2025, around the same time as the 2ndDora the Explorer live-action filmDora and the Search for Sol Dorado.[10] A specialDora & Diego: Rainforest Rescues was also released on the same day.
On November 12, 2025, it was announced that the series was cancelled alongsideTales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles stemming from management shifts caused by theParamount-Skydance merger. The fourth season will be released on December 19, 2025,[11] and the fifth season will be its final season.[12]
A reboot of the original series, the series follows the adventures of Dora and her monkey friend, Boots as they go on epic adventures in arainforest. Accompanied by Dora's Map, Dora and her friends must work as a team to overcome many obstacles in the rainforest, including being challenged by Swiper.

The series' counterpart was announced and revealed in 2021 byBrian Robbins at the ViacomCBS' Investors Day Event. The series was ordered by Paramount+ and was originally set to premiere in 2023,[18] but was delayed to 2024.
The dialogue was recorded atBurbank-based Atlas Oceanic Sound and Picture andNew York City-based Hyperbolic Audio.[19] The series is a collaboration between Nickelodeon Animation Studio andOntario-based, Pipeline Studios.
The series was executive-produced by Rich Magallanes, Chris Gifford, and Valerie Walsh Valdes, while Henry Lenardin-Madden serves as a co-executive, and Alejandro Bien-Willner serves as the editor to the series. Marielle Kaar also serves as the executive in charge of production for the series.[20]
Prior to the series' official release date, some episodes were made available on the franchise's officialYouTube channel from September 30, 2023.[21]
The series has premiered on April 12, 2024 (with the first season of 26 episodes), exclusively on Paramount+ in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Australia.[5] The series also aired on the Nick Jr. Channel internationally.[22]
In Canada, the series premiered onTreehouse TV on October 4, 2024.[23]
In addition to being released on Paramount+, the show also includes a toy line fromSpin Master to promote the series unlike its original counterpart.[24]
