Donald Arthur Schulze (born September 27, 1962) is a former American professional baseball pitcher and currentminor leaguepitching coach.
Schulze graduated fromLake Park High School in 1981. He pitched all or part of six seasons in the majors, between1983 and1989, for theChicago Cubs,Cleveland Indians,New York Mets,New York Yankees, andSan Diego Padres. He also pitched three seasons in Japan: from1990 until1992 for theOrix BlueWave. He currently serves as thepitching coach for theLansing Lugnuts.
Since2006, Schulze has worked in theOakland Athletics organization as a pitching coach. He was with theArizona League Athletics in 2006, theKane County Cougars in 2007 to 2008, and theStockton Ports in 2009 to 2010. In November 2010, he was named to the staff of theMidland RockHounds.[1] He was moved to the Beloit Snappers for the 2018 and 2019 seasons, and to the Lugnuts from 2021 onward.[2]
