Domenico de' Marini (died 1635) was a Roman Catholic prelate who served asTitular Patriarch of Jerusalem (1627–1635),[1]Archbishop of Genoa (1616–1635),[2]andBishop of Albenga (1611–1616).[3][4]
On 11 April 1611, Domenico de' Marini was appointed during the papacy ofPope Paul V asBishop of Albenga.[3][4][5][6]On 1 May 1611, he wasconsecrated bishop byMarcello Crescenzi (bishop),Bishop of Assisi, withVirgilio Fiorenzi,Bishop of Nocera Umbra, andLuca Semproni,Bishop of Città di Castello, serving asco-consecrators.[5] On 18 July 1616, he was appointed during the papacy of Pope Paul V asArchbishop of Genoa.[2][5]On 15 November 1627, he was appointed during the papacy ofPope Urban VIII asTitular Patriarch of Jerusalem.[1][5]He served as Titular Patriarch of Jerusalem until his death in February 1635.[5]
While bishop, he was theprincipal consecrator ofGiovanni Domenico Spinola,Archbishop of Acerenza e Matera (1630).[5]
