Dolow (Somali:Dooloow;Italian:Dolo), also spelledDoolow, is a town in the southernGedo region ofSomalia.
The city sits on theGanana River near theSomali Region inEthiopia, just 50 km (31 mi) north ofLuuq.
Buulo xaawo District lies west of Dolow near theNorth Eastern Province.
Dolow town is the seat of one of the Gedo region's sevendistricts,Doolow District.
Dolow is located on the border with Ethiopia alongside theDawa River where it meets theGanana River.It was recognised as District in mid 19th century
