TheDipodascaceae are afamily ofyeasts in the orderSaccharomycetales. According to the 2007 Outline of Ascomycota, the family contains fourgenera; however, the placement ofSporopachydermia andYarrowia is uncertain.[2]GBIF accepted all the species and also addedMagnusiomyces andProtendomycopsis to the family.[1]Species in the family have a widespread distribution, and are found in decaying plant tissue, or asspoilage organisms in thefood industry.[3]
