Dimethylone (βk-MDDMA) is asubstituted cathinone derivative withstimulant andempathogenic effects. Unlike the corresponding amphetamine derivativeMDDM which is thought to be practically inactive, dimethylone substitutes formethamphetamine andMDMA in animal studies and has been sold as adesigner drug.[2][3][4][5]
