Dimethyldienolone (developmental code nameRU-2788), or7α,17α-dimethyldienolone, also known asδ9-7α,17α-dimethyl-19-nortestosterone or as7α,17α-dimethylestr-4,9-dien-17β-ol-3-one, is a17α-alkylatedandrogen/anabolic steroid of the19-nortestosterone group which was never marketed.[1][2] It is closely related todimethyltrienolone, as well as tomibolerone andmetribolone.[1][2] Dimethyldienolone shows highaffinity for theandrogen andprogesterone receptors.[1][2]
