Desmethylsibutramine (also known asnorsibutramine andBTS-54354) is anactive metabolite of theanorectic drugsibutramine. It is a more potentmonoaminereuptake inhibitor than sibutramine and has been sold as an ingredient inweight loss products sold asdietary supplements, along with related compounds such as theN-ethyl and 3,4-dichloro derivatives.[1][2][3][4][5]
