Ḍerāwālī (ڈیرا والی) is a term used for a group ofLahnda varieties spoken in theDerajat andMianwali. Derawali is not recognised as a distinct dialect; inDera Ismail Khan District and Mianwali,Derawali is the local name of theThali dialect, whereas inDera Ghazi Khan District, it refers to theMultani variety ofSaraiki language. In both cases, the dialect in question is also referred to as the termHindkī (which is not to be confused with theHindko spoken up north).[1]
