TheDenmark Mound Group orDenmark Site (40MD85) is aMississippian culturearchaeological site on a low bluff overlooking Big Black Creek, a tributary of theHatchie River nearDenmark inMadison County, Tennessee. The site features include a village with over 70 structures, 2 rectangularplatform mounds and a small conical burial mound as well as possible evidence of a surroundingpalisade.[2] The site was added to theNRHP in 1992.[1]
