Deir ez-Zor District (Arabic:منطقة دير الزور,romanized: manṭiqat Dair az-Zaur) is adistrict of theDeir ez-Zor Governorate in northeasternSyria. Theadministrative centre is the city ofDeir ez-Zor. At the 2004 census, the district had a population of 492,434.^[1]
