Dayonn Harris (born 29 August 1997) is afootballer who plays as awinger forUSL Championship clubNew Mexico United. Born in Canada, he representsAntigua and Barbuda internationally.
Harris began playing soccer with Brampton East SC when he was seven years old. He later played youth soccer withWoodbridge Strikers andVaughan Azzurri.[1] In 2014, he began playing with Vaughan'sLeague1 Ontario team, playing through 2019.[2]
Harris was selected byReal Salt Lake with the 20th pick in the2020 MLS SuperDraft,[3] before signing with theirUSL Championship affiliateReal Monarchs the following month.[4] He made his league debut for the club on July 11, 2020, in a home match against theSan Diego Loyal.[5] His option was declined by Real Monarchs following the 2020 season.[6]
On December 31, 2020, Harris joined USL Championship sideTampa Bay Rowdies on a two-year deal.[7] Harris made his debut for the Rowdies on May 1, 2021, during a 3–0 victory overCharlotte Independence.[8]
On January 5, 2024, it was announced that Harris had signed withNew Mexico United for the 2024 USL Championship season.[9]
Harris was born in Canada to a father of Trinidadian and Antiguan descent, and mother of Jamaican descent.[10] He made his debut for theAntigua and Barbuda national team on June 5, 2024 in aWorld Cup qualifier againstBermuda at the ABFA Technical Center. He substitutedRaheem Deterville in the 67th minute, the game ended in a 1–1 draw.[11]
