Dawn is the stage name ofGaven Kerr[1][failed verification] (born 1998),[2] an Americandrag performer who competed onseason 16 ofRuPaul's Drag Race.

Dawn is adrag performer who has described herself as an "ethereal elf goddess ofBrooklyn".[3] She competed onseason 16 ofRuPaul's Drag Race. On the first episode ("Rate-A-Queen"), shelip-synced to an original track.[4][5] The judges appreciated Dawn's "kookiness" and compared her toLucille Ball.[6] Tomás Mier ofRolling Stone called her "out of left field inall the right ways" and said she presented some of the premiere's best looks.[3] Dawn was eliminated on the twelfth episode, "Bathroom Hunties", placing sixth overall. In September 2025, Dawn performed atNorthern Nevada Pride.[7]

Dawn was born and raised inRaleigh, North Carolina, but is based in Brooklyn.[8][9] She has saidSasha Velour is an inspiration and her favoriteDrag Race winner.[10][11] Dawn is also inspired by fashion designerBetsey Johnson.[12] Dawn is aTaylor Swift fan, and "Toxic" byBritney Spears is among her favorite performance tracks.[13]

She graduated fromNorth Carolina State University in 2020 with an engineering degree.[14]
