David Sturrock (22 February 1938 – 2022) was a Scottishfootballer, who played as aninside forward in theScottish Football League and theEnglish Football League in the 1950s and 1960s.[2]
Sturrock began a five-year spell with local clubDundee United in the mid-1950s, joining English sideAccrington Stanley for the1960/61 season.[2] He is reported as having made a total of 26 appearances for Accrington (scoring 7 goals),[3] before moving toSouthern League sideBedford Town.[2] Sturrock moved back to his hometown of Dundee following the end of his playing career.[3]
Dundee United announced in December 2022 that Sturrock had recently died.[4]
