David Saville Muzzey (1870–1965) was an American historian.[1][2]
David Saville Muzzey was born inLexington, Massachusetts on October 9, 1870.[3]
His history textbooks were used by millions of American children.[4] Along withHarold Rugg, he was accused of being a "bolshevik" by theBetter America Federation.[5] He served as senior leader at theNew York Society for Ethical Culture.[6]
He died atSt. John's Riverside Hospital inYonkers, New York on April 14, 1965.[3][4]
