David Alfred Pierpoint is anIrishAnglicanpriest: he has beenArchdeacon of Dublin[1] since 2004.
Pierpoint was born in 1956 andordained in 1988.[2] He wasNon Stipendiary Minister atAthboy withBallivor andKillallon;Killiney andBallybrack; andNarraghmore andTimolin withCastledermot until 1991 when he becameChancellor ofSt Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin. In 1995 he becameVicar of the Christ Church Cathedral Group of Parishes, which includesAll Saints' Grangegorman,St Werburgh's andSt Michan's, and in 2004Archdeacon of Dublin.[3]
After studying atAll Hallows College, he gained a Masters fromDublin City University in 2007. He has served as chaplain to theGardaí.[citation needed]
