David Anthony Aspin (born 24 June 1950) is awrestler fromWaiuku, New Zealand.[1] He competed in thefreestyle wrestling discipline, where he was the1974 Commonwealth Games champion and1970 Commonwealth Games bronze medalist, in the middleweight category.[2] He was also New Zealand's flag bearer at the opening ceremonies of the1972 Summer Olympics, inMunich, and at the1976 Summer Olympics inMontreal.[3] Aspin andArthur Porritt are the only New Zealand Olympians to have carried the flag at two different Olympics.
