Dave Woods is a British sports commentator. He coversrugby league andfootball for theBBC andBT Sport as well as occasional freelance work forFive in theirChampions League andEuropa League coverage.

He commentated on the Europa League2012 Final alongsideStan Collymore. Woods is the main man on theSuper League Show. He has attended everyChallenge Cup Final since 1974. In 2009, he commentated on his first Challenge Cup Final, succeedingRay French.

Dave Woods used to lecture in radio at theUniversity of Huddersfield, but left in July 2008.

Dave Woods commentated for HBS during the2006 FIFA World Cup,2010 FIFA World Cup,2014 FIFA World Cup,UEFA Euro 2008 andUEFA Euro 2012 in addition to the2015 FIFA Women's World Cup.
