Thedauphine of France (/ˈdɔːfn,dɔːˈfn/,alsoUS:/ˈdfn,dˈfn/,French:[dofin]) was the wife of thedauphin of France (theheir apparent to the French throne). The position was analogous to acrown princess (the wife of a crown prince and heir apparent to a throne).
