Data Recall Diamond

TheData Recall Diamond One was aword processingtypewriter, designed and built by Data Recall Ltd at Dorking, Surrey, England in the late 1970s and early 1980s. The machine drove adiablo 1355daisy wheel printer via aparallel interface at 35–55 characters per second, and used an 8-inchfloppy disc drive capable of holding 250,000 characters.[citation needed] It was user programmable. Later models included theDiamond III, theDiamond Five (a.k.a.Diamond V), and theDiamond 7.[1]

One of the names suggested for theAmstrad PCW was the Zircon, on the grounds thatzircon was "a Diamond substitute". This name was rejected.[2]
