Daryl DeLeon Taylor (born 2 August 2005) is aFilipino-British racing driver currently competing in theBritish Touring Car Championship forDuckhams Racing with Bartercard. He is a race winner in both Radical Cup UK and the British Endurance Championship, and made his debut in theBritish Touring Car Championship in2023 withTeam HARD.
DeLeon made his car racing debut in the Radical SR1 Cup in the penultimate round of the 2021, and won 2 of the 3 races in the final round of the season. He then competed in the 2021 Radical Intercontinental Cup at theAlgarve International Circuit in Portugal.[1]
Competing full-time in the 2022 season with Valour Racing, he won the championship.[2] Later in the year, he contested the inaugural Radical Cup World Finals at theSpring Mountain Motorsports Ranch inNevada, United States,[3] which he won overall.[4]
In 2023, he moved up to the SR3 category of the Radical Cup UK, alongside hisBritish Endurance Championship commitments.[5]
DeLeon raced for Valour Racing in the fourth round of the2022 GB4 Championship.[6] He finished 3rd in his debut race, but did not contest any other rounds during the season, and finished 25th in the championship.
DeLeon won the 2023Team HARD Scholarship,[7] enabling him to compete in the 2023 British Endurance Championship withTeam HARD, driving anAudi S3 touring car alongside Maurice Henry. Prior to the second round, DeLeon switched to aPorsche 991 GT3 Cup.[8]
As part of theTeam HARD Scholarship, DeLeon became a development driver for theirBTCC team for the2023 season. On 4 July, he drove for the team in the officialGoodyear Tyre Test[9] Following the departure ofJade Edwards fromTeam HARD after the fifth round of 2023, it was announced that DeLeon would take her place.[10][11]
