Dar Fur Daju people

TheDar Fur Daju are an ethnic group in theSudan. They are one of seven distinct ethnicities comprising theDaju people. They speak theNyala language.[1] They live inSouthern Darfur in theSudan in the Daju Hills 40 km northeast ofNyala - although most of this population has fled to Chad as a result of theDarfur Conflict.[2] There is also a small population of Dar Fur Daju near the city of Lagowa in theNuba Hills. Their total population numbers 98,000 (2017).[1] They are mostly Muslim.[3]
