Danielle Nicole Wyatt-Hodge (née Wyatt; born 22 April 1991) is an Englishcricketer who plays forSussex,Southern Vipers,Southern Brave andEngland. She plays as anall-rounder,batting right-handed andbowling right-armoff break. She made her England debut againstIndia inMumbai on 1 March 2010.[1][2]
Wyatt-Hodge is a right-handedopening/middle order batter andoff break bowler. She played for Staffordshire Ladies and Meir Heath Women in the Northern Premier League, having moved from Gunnersbury at the end of the 2012 season, as well as men's club cricket for her local club Whitmore.
In 2010, she was awarded an MCC Young Cricketers contract which enables her cricketing development via training at the MCC on a daily basis. She is the holder of one of the first tranche of 18ECB central contracts for women players, which were announced in April 2014.[3]
Wyatt was a member of the winning women's team at the2017 Women's Cricket World Cup held in England.[4][5][6]
In December 2017, she was named as one of the players in the ICC Women's T20I Team of the Year.[7]
In March 2018, during the2018 Women's T20I Tri Nations Series in India; in a match against India, she scored her 2ndWT20Icentury in her career as her knock of 124 runs powered England to register the highest ever successful chase by any team in a WT20I match (199/3).[8][9][10][11] With this century, she became the second female cricketer to score 2 centuries inWT20Is afterDeandra Dottin and also registered the second highest individual score in a WT20I just behindMeg Lanning's 126.[12][13][14] Her innings of 124 runs is also the highest individual score set by an opener in a WT20I match and she also recorded the second fastest century by a player in a WT20I innings (52 balls) just afterDeandra Dottin's 38-ball century.[15][16]
In October 2018, she was named in England's squad for the2018 ICC Women's World Twenty20 tournament in the West Indies.[17][18]
In November 2018, she was named in theMelbourne Renegades' squad for the2018–19 Women's Big Bash League season.[19][20] In February 2019, she was awarded a full central contract by theEngland and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) for 2019.[21][22] In June 2019, the ECB named her in England's squad for their opening matchagainst Australia to contest theWomen's Ashes.[23][24]
In December 2019, in England's opening matchagainst Pakistan in Malaysia, Wyatt scored herfirst century in a WODI match.[25] During the same tour, she also played her 100th WT20I match against Pakistan.[26] In January 2020, she was named in England's squad for the2020 ICC Women's T20 World Cup in Australia.[27]
On 18 June 2020, Wyatt was named in a squad of 24 players to begin training ahead of international women's fixtures starting in England following theCOVID-19 pandemic.[28][29]
In February 2021, she went on England'stour of New Zealand, helping them complete a 2–1 WODI series win and a 3–0 WT20I series win.[30] She was also drafted bySouthern Brave for theinaugural season ofThe Hundred.[31]
In December 2021, Wyatt was named in England's squad for theirtour to Australia to contest theWomen's Ashes.[32] In February 2022, she was named in England's team for the2022 Women's Cricket World Cup in New Zealand.[33] In April 2022, she was bought by theSouthern Brave for the2022 season ofThe Hundred.[34]
In July 2022, she was named in England's team for thecricket tournament at the2022 Commonwealth Games inBirmingham, England.[35]
In June 2023, Wyatt was again named in an England Test squad for the2023 Women's Ashes series against Australia.[36] She made her Test debut in that match, on 22 June 2023.[37]
She was named in the England squad for the2024 ICC Women's T20 World Cup.[38]
On 30 October 2024, she was traded toRoyal Challengers Bangalore fromUP Warriorz to play for 2025 seasonWPL.[39][40] She was picked up by the Warriorz for INR 30 lakhs at WPL 2024 auction but didn't feature for the UP franchise.[41]
Wyatt-Hodge was named in England's squad for their multi-format tour toSouth Africa in November 2024.[42][43]
She joined the newly professional Surrey Women's team ahead of the restructured domestic set-up for the 2025 season.[44][45]
Wyatt-Hodge was named in the England squad for the2025 Women's Ashes series in Australia.[46][47]

Wyatt'snickname is "Waggy". In 2015, she explained to sports journalistClare Balding that "The girls say I’m a wannabeWAG because I’ve dated two footballers!"[54] She has supportedPort Vale F.C. since she started attending matches atVale Park with her grandfather at the age of eight.[55] On 10 June 2024, Wyatt married Georgie Hodge, afootball agent, at theChelsea Old Town Hall inLondon.[56][57] They had been dating since 2019 and became engaged in early 2023 inSouth Africa.[58]
