Danielle Caroline Schneider[1] (born January 1, 1975)[2][3] is an American actress, writer, and improvisational comedian from theUpright Citizens Brigade Theatre. She co-created and starred in theHulureality TV parody seriesThe Hotwives and currently co-hosts (alongsideCasey Wilson) the podcastBitch Sesh.
Schneider originally hailed fromAtlanta, Georgia, before moving toBoca Raton, Florida at age 13.[1][4] She graduated in 1993 fromSpanish River Community High School. She is a graduate ofNew York University'sTisch School of the Arts.
Schneider appeared regularly as a panelist onBest Week Ever and various otherVH1 commentary programs. She has played aParis Hilton-like debutante on Fox'sMy Big Fat Obnoxious Boss, she starred in Trio'sThe Pop Culture Round-Up: White Noise, Comedy Central'sContest Searchlight withDenis Leary, was a cast member ofVH1's prank showSledgehammer, guest-starred onNBC'sHappy Family and Comedy Central'sCrossballs. Schneider has appeared onLate Night with Conan O'Brien and voiced various characters onMTV'sCelebrity Deathmatch and thePBS Kids GO! seriesWordGirl. She also co-starred as Krista in theSpike TV improvised comedy seriesPlayers in 2010.
Schneider is a graduate ofNew York University's Tisch School of the Arts. She has been a performer and teacher at theUpright Citizens Brigade Theatre (UCB) inNew York City andLos Angeles, where she was a member of one of UCB's originalimprovisational comedy troupes,Respecto Montalban. In 2002, Schneider's two-woman sketch showEye Candy, which she wrote and starred in with her creative partnerDannah Phirman, was selected for HBO'sU.S. Comedy Arts Festival inAspen, Colorado. She has since collaborated with Phirman on other sketch shows such asLet's Get Awkward andDead Heiresses at theLos Angeles UCB.Dead Heiresses was also developed as a pilot forComedy Central in 2007.
Schneider and Phirman wrote the screenplay forBeverly Hills Chihuahua 2 and are currently working on scripts for the upcoming moviesCatfight forNew Line Cinema andBoys Are Stupid, Throw Rocks at Them forUniversal.
Schneider and Phirman created and starred in theHulu reality TV parody seriesThe Hotwives and wrote on theNBC sitcomsMarry Me andTelenovela.[1] Schneider also had a recurring role onMarry Me, playing the role of Cassie. In 2017, Schneider and Phirman worked as writers and producers onIt's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and on theTruTV sitcomI'm Sorry. Schneider also wrote on season three of theUSA Network comedyPlaying House.
On December 2, 2015, Schneider andCasey Wilson began hosting theEarwolf podcastBitch Sesh, where they and a guest have comedic discussions about the previous night's episode ofThe Real Housewives, as well as other topics related to theBravo channel. Guests have includedJune Diane Raphael,Andy Cohen,Adam Pally,Jerry O'Connell,Matt Besser,Vanessa Bayer,Michael Rapaport,Elisha Cuthbert, andRetta.Paul Scheer first announced the show on his podcastHow Did This Get Made? and released a special preview episode, describing it as a "sister podcast" to his show, with a focus on discussing reality television instead of movies. Schneider lives inLos Angeles and is married to comedianMatt Besser.[8] Their daughter Sydney Diana Besser was born on July 28, 2013.
