Daniel Hogan (born 2002) is an Irishhurler. At club level, he plays withSarsfields and at inter-county level with theCork senior hurling team. Hogan usually lines out as a forward.

Career

Hogan played hurling at all levels as a student atGlanmire Community College. After finishing his secondary schooling, he later lined out withUniversity College Cork in theFitzgibbon Cup.[1] Hogan also won aCanon O'Brien Cup title with UCC in December 2023, after a 1-24 to 1-23 win overCork.[2]

At club level, Hogan first played forSarsfields at juvenile and underage levels.[3] He later progressed to the club's senior team and was part of the Sarsfields team that won theCork PSHC title after a 0–21 to 0–19 defeat ofMidleton in the2023 final.[4] Hogan claimed aMunster Club SHC medal in 2024, while he also won aCork IAFC medal that year as aGaelic footballer withGlanmire.[5][6] He was at centre-forward when Sarsfields were beaten byNa Fianna in the2025 All-Ireland club final.[7]

Hogan first appeared on the inter-county scene withCork as a member of theminor team in 2019.[8] He immediately progressed to the under-20 team and won anAll-Ireland U20HC medal as a member of the extended panel in 2020.[9] Hogan joined the starting fifteen a year later and won a second set ofMunster and All-Ireland U20HC medals after respective defeats ofLimerick andGalway.[10][11]

Hogan joined thesenior team in 2025.[12] He made his debut when he came on as a substitute forBrian Roche in aNational Hurling League defeat ofClare in the March 2025.[13]
