Danial Nielsen Frost (born 18 October 2001 in Singapore) is a Singaporeanrace car driver.[1][2] He currently competes in theAsian Le Mans Series driving forGraff Racing in theLMP3 class.[3]
Frost began his racing career in the2016–17 Formula 4 South East Asia Championship. In 2017, he moved to theFormula Masters China and finished in 3rd place. In 2017–18 he made his debut in theMRF Challenge Formula 2000 Championship.[4] In 2018, he competed in theU.S. F2000 National Championship withExclusive Autosport,[5] and in 2019 he moved to theIndy Pro 2000 Championship,[6] the second step on theRoad to Indy.
In 2020, Frost signed withAndretti Autosport.[5] In the following year, Frost switched toHMD Motorsports withDale Coyne Racing.[7]
Following his season in2022 Indy Lights forHMD Motorsports w/Dale Coyne Racing, Frost tested one of the team's cars in October 2022 in a private IndyCar driver evaluation test atSebring.[8]
Frost re-signed withHMD Motorsports w/Dale Coyne Racing for the2023 Indy Lights championship. He won the season-opening Indy NXT byGrand Prix of St. Petersburg on Sunday, 5 March 2023, earning his second career victory in IndyCar’s development series.[9]
In 2024, Frost announced that his racing career would be placed on hold as he would complete his required two years ofmilitary service for his home country ofSingapore.[10]
