Theseventeenth season of the AustralianDancing with the Stars debuted on 9 February 2020.^[1][2][3]Grant Denyer andAmanda Keller returned as hosts, whileSharna Burgess,Craig Revel Horwood, andTristan MacManus returned to the judging panel.^[4]

Due to theCOVID-19 pandemic, the Grand Final was broadcast on 29 March 2020, one week earlier than planned.^[5] ComedianCelia Pacquola and Jarryd Byrne were announced as the winners, while podcasterChristian Wilkins and Lily Cornish finished in second place, actressClaudia Karvan andAric Yegudkin finished in third, and comedianEd Kavalee and Jorja Freeman finished in fourth.

This season featured ten celebrity contestants.^[1] The full cast was announced on 14 January 2020.^[1][6] Professionals Marco De Angelis, Jeremy Garner, Joshua Keeffe, and Siobhan Power did not return; they were replaced byJulian Caillon, Shae Mountain, and Violeta Mugica.

The judges choreographed and designed their team's dance and performed with them on the night, while the two non-performing judges and guest judge, former contestantCourtney Act, scored their routine.
