Daniel Hutchison is an American attorney andDemocratic Party politician serving as a member of theNew Jersey General Assembly for the4th legislative district, since taking office on January 9, 2024.
A resident since 1995 ofGloucester Township, New Jersey, Hutchison graduated in 1989 from Rider College (since renamed asRider University), earned certification as aCertified Public Accountant, and is an attorney who earned his degree atWidener University Delaware Law School in 1995.[1]
He was the Republican nominee for the 1st Congressional District of New Jersey in the2004 United States House of Representatives elections in New Jersey.[2]
He has been elected to five terms as a member of the Gloucester Township Council.[3]
Led byPaul D. Moriarty, who was running for theNew Jersey Senate seat vacated byFred Madden,[4] Hutchison and his Democratic running mateCody Miller, defeated Republicans Amanda Esposito and Matthew P. Walker in the2023 New Jersey General Assembly election.[5][6]
