Dale Carrick (born 7 January 1994) is aScottish professionalfootballer who plays as astriker forStenhousemuir. Carrick started his career withHeart of Midlothian and has also played forRaith Rovers,Kilmarnock,Livingston,Cowdenbeath,Airdrieonians andStirling Albion. Carrick has represented Scotland at bothunder-16 andunder-21 levels.
Born in Edinburgh, Carrick grew up supporting Hearts. A member ofHearts Under-20 team[1] Carrick made hisScottish Premier League debut on 4 August 2012 in a 2–0 win versusSt Johnstone.[2] On 23 August 2012 in only his second appearance, Carrick made hisEuropean debut as a substitute in a 1–0 defeat versusLiverpool atTynecastle.[3] Carrick's first goal for theJambos arrived on 18 January 2014 in a thrilling 3–3 draw versus thePerth club atMcDiarmid Park.[4]
Carrick had joinedRaith Rovers on 30 January 2015 on a one-month loan deal.[5] The loan deal was then cut-short on 11 February 2015 as a result of Carrick suffering an injury.[6]
On 8 July 2015, Carrick departed theTynecastle club to pursue regular first-team football elsewhere with his contract terminated by mutual consent.[7][8] Carrick then signed a three-year contract withKilmarnock.[9]
After one season withKillie Carrick then signed for theWest Lothian clubLivingston in July 2016.[10] On 26 January 2017 Carrick moved on loan toScottish League Two clubCowdenbeath for the remainder of the2016-17 season.[11] Carrick departed theLions in January 2018 and signed forAirdrieonians in an attempt to get more first-team football.[12] He remained at Airdrie until May 2021.
On 28 May 2021, Carrick signed forScottish League Two sideStirling Albion.[13]
On 2 August 2025, Carrick signed forStenhousemuir on a one-year contract.[14]
Carrick has represented Scotland atunder-16 level. Carrick made his debut in an International Challenge match versusJersey on 18 August 2009[15] and made four appearances in total.[16]
