Daksha Nagarkar is an Indian actress and model who appears inTelugu films. She made her debut in 2014 withAK Rao PK Rao, and then worked inHora Hori,Husharu andZombie Reddy.

Early life

Daksha Nagarkar was born inMumbai,Maharashtra to aRajput mother and aMaratha father.[citation needed] She was brought up in various places includingPanchgani,Hyderabad,Bangalore andDelhi as she used to stay with her mother who worked for a cosmetics company.[1] Nagarkar initially aspired to become a cardiologist as she comes from a family of doctors. However, she instead pursued a career in modelling and acting.[2]

Career

Daksha nagarkar made her debut withAK Rao PK Rao (2014). She later acted inHora Hori in 2015 directed byTeja. Reviewing her performance in Hora Hori, Sangeetha Devi Dundoo ofThe Hindu wrote: "Daksha has a reasonably good screen presence and shows promise."[3] Owing the film's shoot, Nagarkar could not attend her first year final exams and failed. Subsequently, she decided to take a break from films and complete her graduation inBachelor of Business Administration.[1][4]

Three years later, Nagarkar returned to cinema with thecoming of age filmHusharu (2018).[citation needed]

In 2021, she played a youngster addicted to gaming inZombie Reddy.[5] A critic fromThe Hindu called her performance "effective"[6] whileFirstpost's Hemanth Kumar wrote that Nagarkar got her share of glory in the action-filled moments.[7] In 2022, Nagarkar appeared in the dance number "Entha Sakkagundiro" inBangarraju, alongsideNaga Chaitanya.[2] Later that year, she has signed to appear in theRavi Teja-starrerRavanasura.[8]
