TheSan Diego Padres are an American professionalbaseball team based inSan Diego. The Padres compete inMajor League Baseball (MLB) as a member club of theNational League (NL)West Division. Daison Maquier Acosta (born August 24, 1998) is a Dominican baseballpitcher for theSan Diego Padres ofMajor League Baseball (MLB).

Acosta began his professional career in theNew York Mets organization. After the 2023 season, theWashington Nationals selected him in the minor league phase of theRule 5 draft.[1]

Acosta split 2025 between the Single-AFredericksburg Nationals, Double-AHarrisburg Senators, and Triple-ARochester Red Wings, accumulating a combined 5-1 record and 2.42 ERA with 72 strikeouts and fivesaves across 46 appearances. He elected free agency following the season on November 6, 2025.[2]

On December 8, 2025, Acosta signed a one-year, major league contract with theSan Diego Padres.[3]

Anthony Clay Dungan (born June 2, 1996) is an American professionalbaseballinfielder in theSan Diego Padres organization.

Dungan attendedYorktown High School inYorktown, Indiana, where he played baseball.[4] He batted .488 with 13 steals as a senior in 2015.[5] After graduating, he enrolled atIndiana State University where he playedcollege baseball and batted .305 with nine home runs, 38 RBIs, and ten doubles over 61 starts as a senior in 2019.[6] He was selected by theKansas City Royals in the ninth round of the2019 Major League Baseball draft.[7]

Dungan signed with the Royals and made his professional debut with theIdaho Falls Chukars with whom he was named an All-Star.[8] Over 65 games, he hit .357 with two home runs, 38 RBIs, and 19 doubles. He did not play a game in 2020 due to the cancellation of the minor league season.[9] In 2021, he played with theNorthwest Arkansas Naturals andslashed .288/.357/.405 with nine home runs, 56 RBIs, and 28 stolen bases over 108 games.[10] He was assigned to theOmaha Storm Chasers for the 2022 season.[11] Over 127 games, he compiled a .208/.294/.334 slash line with nine home runs, 52 RBIs, and 17 stolen bases.[12] He returned to Omaha in 2023, hitting .273 with three home runs, thirty RBIs, and 16 stolen bases over 89 games.[13]

On December 6, 2023, theSan Diego Padres selected Dungan in the minor league phase of theRule 5 draft.[14] He split the 2024 season between theSan Antonio Missions andEl Paso Chihuahuas, batting .242 with nine home runs, 71 RBIs, and 25 stolen bases over 127 games.[15] Dungan was assigned to El Paso for the 2025 season and hit .273 with 14 home runs, 80 RBIs and 30 stolen bases over 140 games.[16]

Ruben Antonio Galindo Naar[17] (born January 24, 2001) is a Colombian professionalbaseballpitcher in theSan Diego Padres organization.

Galindo signed with theSan Diego Padres on July 2, 2019.[18]

Galindo represented theColombia national baseball team in the2023 World Baseball Classic,[19] pitching in Colombia's games againstGreat Britain[20] and theUnited States.[21] Galindo was part of the Colombia squad that won the gold medal at the2023 Pan American Games in October 2023.[22][17]

Garrett David Hawkins (born February 10, 2002) is a Canadian professionalbaseballpitcher for theSan Diego Padres ofMajor League Baseball (MLB).

Hawkins played baseball at theUniversity of British Columbia. He was selected by theSan Diego Padres in the ninth round of the2021 Major League Baseball draft.[23] He underwentTommy John surgery in 2023 and missed the 2024 season.[24]

Hawkins returned to action in 2025 with the High-AFort Wayne TinCaps and Double-ASan Antonio Missions; in 45 appearances for the two affiliates, he accumulated a 9-1 record and 1.50 ERA with 80 strikeouts and 10saves over 60 innings of work. On November 18, 2025, the Padres added Hawkins to their40-man roster to protect him from theRule 5 draft.[25]

Coleman Jagger Haynes (born September 20, 2002) is an American professionalbaseballpitcher in theSan Diego Padres organization.

Haynes attended West Columbus High School inCerro Gordo, North Carolina, where he playedbaseball.[26] He was selected by theSan Diego Padres in the fifth round of the2020 Major League Baseball draft.[27] He was the youngest pitcher selected in the draft.[28] He signed with the team for $300,000, forgoing his commitment to playcollege baseball at theUniversity of North Carolina.[29]

Haynes underwentTommy John surgery after being drafted, and made his professional debut in 2023 with theLake Elsinore Storm.[30] He started 11 games and went 0-3 with a 3.91 ERA. Haynes played with theFort Wayne TinCaps for the 2024 season, starting 22 games and going 2-6 with a 4.64 ERA and 114 strikeouts over110+23 innings.[31] He was assigned to theSan Antonio Missions for the 2025 season.[32] Over 26 games (25 starts), Haynes went 3-4 with a 4.11 ERA and 101 strikeouts over 103 innings pitched.[33]

Isaiah Daniel Lowe (born May 7, 2003) is an American professionalbaseballpitcher in theSan Diego Padres organization.

Lowe attended Combine Academy inLincolnton, North Carolina, where he playedbaseball as a pitcher and third baseman.[34] He committed to playcollege baseball atWake Forest University.[35] Lowe was selected by theSan Diego Padres in the 11th round of the2022 Major League Baseball draft, and signed with the team for $400,000.[36]

Lowe made his professional debut in 2023 with theArizona Complex League Padres andLake Elsinore Storm, but appeared in only four games before undergoing season-ending shoulder surgery.[37] He returned to Lake Elsinore to open the 2024 season and was promoted to theFort Wayne TinCaps in late July.[38] Over 24 games (twenty starts) between the two teams, Lowe went 7-6 with a 3.33 ERA and 111 strikeouts over105+13 innings.[39] Lowe returned to Fort Wayne for the 2025 season.[40] Over 22 starts, he pitched to a 3-12 record, a 5.69 ERA and 70 strikeouts over91+23 innings.[41] Lowe was assigned to play in theArizona Fall League with thePeoria Javelinas after the season.[42]

Coleman Kash Mayfield (born February 8, 2005) is an Americanprofessional baseballpitcher in theSan Diego Padres organization.

Mayfield attended Elk City High School inElk City, Oklahoma, where he played baseball.[43] As a senior in 2024, he went 8-0 with a 0.16 ERA and 115 strikeouts over 44 innings and was named the Gatorade Oklahoma Baseball Player of the Year, which he also won in 2023.[44] He committed to playcollege baseball atOklahoma State University.[45]

Mayfield was drafted by theSan Diego Padres in the first round, with the 25th overall selection, of the2024 Major League Baseball draft.[46][47][48] On July 24, 2024, Mayfield signed with the Padres on a $3.4 million contract.[49]

Mayfield made his professional debut in 2025 with theLake Elsinore Storm.[50]

Miguel José Méndez (born July 1, 2002) is a Dominican professionalbaseballpitcher for theSan Diego Padres ofMajor League Baseball (MLB).

Méndez signed with theSan Diego Padres as an international free agent in February 2021. He made his professional debut that year with theDominican Summer League Padres. He pitched 2022 with theArizona Complex League Padres andFort Wayne TinCaps and 2023 with theLake Elsinore Storm. After the 2023 season he pitched in theArizona Fall League.

Méndez spent 2024 with Lake Elsinore and started 2025 with Lake Elsinore before being promoted to Fort Wayne and the Double-ASan Antonio Missions.[51] On November 18, 2025, the Padres added Méndez to their40-man roster to protect him from theRule 5 draft.[52]

Kruz Schoolcraft (born April 18, 2007) is an American professionalbaseballpitcher andfirst baseman in theSan Diego Padres organization.

Schoolcraft attendedSunset High School inBeaverton, Oregon.[53] He played as a pitcher and also playedfirst base in high school.[54] As a junior in 2024, he went 10–1 with a 0.39earned run average (ERA), and 146strikeouts over71+23 innings as a pitcher and hit .506 with sevenhome runs and 30runs batted in (RBI).[55]

Schoolcraft entered his senior year in 2025 as a top prospect for the2025 Major League Baseball draft.[56] He was committed to playcollege baseball at theUniversity of Tennessee.[57][58] Schoolcraft was selected with the 25th overall pick in the first round of the2025 Major League Baseball draft by theSan Diego Padres.[59] Schoolcraft signed with the Padres for a $3,606,600signing bonus on July 24, 2025.[60]
