TheDaily Review Atlas, more commonly referred to by local residents as theReview Atlas, is an Americannewspaper published inMonmouth, Illinois. It is owned byUSA Today Co.
It was formed in 1924 through the merger ofThe Monmouth Daily Atlas (foundedc. 1904) andThe Monmouth Daily Review (began daily publication in 1890).[1] In 1987, the paper was acquired byHollinger.[2] Current ownerGateHouse Media purchased roughly 160 daily and weekly newspapers from Hollinger in 1997.[3]
In addition to theReview Atlas, GateHouse owns the leading paper in theGalesburg area,The Register-Mail, and several area weeklies.
They have had to close because of COVID-19 but they have plans of reopening soon[4]
