TheDaewoo Prince is amid-sizeluxury car that was produced byDaewoo inSouth Korea between 1991 and 1999. The car was based on therear-wheel driveOpel Rekord E, although the body was of Daewoo design, as opposed to theOpel-designed,Holden-manufactured body of the Prince'sRoyale predecessor.[1] The Prince was powered by 1.8- and 2.0-litre OpelFamily II four-cylinder engines.[2] The Prince spawned two additional variants, theDaewoo Brougham and theDaewoo Super Salon. The base Prince was replaced by theLeganza, while the more luxurious Brougham and Super Salon were succeeded by theDaewoo Chairman in 1997, Taxi models continued in production until September 1999.[3]
